Samantha Bise is an educator, researcher, published and award-winning poet, freelance writer, wife, and mother living in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania with her husband, daughter, and dog. Most of her writing focuses on community issues like incarceration, addiction, womanhood, and faith. In addition to teaching and writing, Samantha volunteers with various organizations in her community. Above all else, she believes humans need their truths to live outside of themselves. Writing is one way of accomplishing this.
Samantha is currently earning her doctoral degree in Literacy, Culture, and Language Education, so she can continue to explore the intersects between language, culture, and identity–specifically how biblical languages and cultures relate to the way we interpret sacred texts today.
